The two, identified as Godspower Okeke of Arondizeogu and Mrs Chinyere Ugwumba of Osina, both in Ideator North LGA of Imo state, were bunt by the adulterated DPK product when they wanted to pour it into their respective lanterns.

 

The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Stephen Lar disclosed this to newsmen yesterday in Owerri, saying that through intelligent source the command gathered that the people who purchased kerosene product from SAN Salvana Oil Company Ltd at Ideator North LGA were bunt when it exploded in an attempt to use it.

He said they arrested the manager of the filling station, one Nwaku Ikechukwu and three sales girls.

 

He said that as part of their investigation, the command tested the product and discovered that it was really an adulterated one, and that the suspects would be prosecuted.
