The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria is pleased to announce that the 27th AMCOA Annual Capacity Building Workshop aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of health professionals and health regulatory bodies across the African Continent will be hosted by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
The workshop with the theme ‘INTEGRATED HEALTHCARE REGULATION AND LEADERSHIP IN BUILDING RESILIENT HEALTH SYSTEMS’ is designed to foster collaboration, improve healthcare practices, and ensure effective governance within health regulatory bodies.
Date: 7 – 11 April 2025
Venue: Ladi Kwali Hall, Abuja Continental Hotel, Abuja Nigeria
Target Audience: Medical Council executives and members, healthcare regulators, healthcare professionals, and other relevant stakeholders.
The workshop will feature renowned experts in medical governance, healthcare regulation, and health professionals’ discipline. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in discussions, share insights, and learn best practices that will contribute to the improvement of health care standards across Africa.
The objectives of this workshop are to ensure:
- Integrated Health Regulation by harmonizing health regulatory frameworks across Africa for consistent healthcare standards.
- Leadership Development by strengthening leadership in regulatory bodies to drive systemic improvements; and
- Resilient Health Systems by developing strategies for health systems to withstand and adapt to challenges like pandemics and resource constraints.
This is an excellent opportunity for professionals involved in healthcare regulation and health care governance to develop essential skills and engage with peers across Africa.
