30 Persons Benefit From FG’s Free Medicare at Irrua Teaching Hospital

No fewer than 30 persons have benefited  from the free medical outreach organised by the Federal Government at the Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital out station in Ubiaja in Esan South-East Local Government Area of Edo State. 
 
Chief Medical Director of the  hospital, Prof. Sylvanus Okogbenin, who disclosed this at the closing ceremony of the Rapid Result Initiative of President Muhammadu Buhari, explained that 30 beneficiaries underwent free surgeries for cataract. 
 
Okogbenin also said that 50 other persons received treatment for herniorrhaphies, myornectomy, prolapse and vesicovaginal fistula, also known as VVF. 
 
He said that the annual programme was part of government’s efforts to extend a helping hand to the less privileged and ameliorate their sufferings.
