340 Senior Residents Awarded Fellowship at the National Postgraduate Medical College 34th Convocation ceremony

The 34th Convocation ceremony for the award of Fellowship and Prizes of the College was held on Thursday September 15, 2016 at the College Premises. 
 
At the ceremony, Fellowship was awarded to 340 Senior Residents who have successfully completed the Residency Training programme after passing the Final Examination in the 15 Faculties of the College.
 
Honorary Fellowship Award (FNMC) of the College was conferred on the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar for his in recognition of his relentless advocacy for improved healthcare in the country and his significant contribution towards stemming of outbreak some communicable diseases.
 
 
Distinguished Fellowship (DFMC) was conferred on the first two College Registrars, Prof. Michael A. Bankole, FMCS and Prof Olanipekun K. Alausa, FMCPath, FMCPH as a reward for excellence and service in their various specialties as well as their immense contributions to the development of the College and the country.
 
The Convocation Lecture titled “What Kind of Doctor are You? was delivered by Dr. B. G. K. Ajayi, FMCOph
 
Prizes were also presented to Resident Doctors who have distinguished themselves by excelling during the three tier examination process leading to the award of Fellowship.
