FACULTY OF BASIC HEALTH SCIENCES

• Department of Medical Laboratory Science
• Department of Nursing Science
• Department of Public Health
• Department of Community Health (Only Lecturers I, II and AL are needed)
• Department of Environmental Health Science (Only Lecturers I, II and AL are needed)
• Medical Laboratory Scientist with specialization in Medical Microbiology
• Medical Laboratory Scientist with specialization in Histopathology
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Physiology
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Anatomy

POSITIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

PROFESSOR (AUSASS 7)

To be eligible for appointment to the position, candidate must have PhD in relevant area from recognized institution with at least Ten (10) years post-doctoral experience in teaching/research in a University, have several scholarly publications in reputable national and international academic journals, administrative experience, demonstrate ability to provide academic leadership and be a member of relevant professional bodies and Community Service.

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR (AUSASS 6)

To be eligible for appointment to the position, candidate must have PhD in relevant area from recognized institution with at least eight (8) years post-doctoral experience in teaching/ research in a University, have several scholarly publications in reputable national and international academic journals, administrative experience demonstrate ability to provide academic Leadership and be a member of relevant professional bodies and Community Service.

SENIOR LECTURER (AUSASS 5)

To be eligible for appointment to the position, candidate must have PhD in relevant area from recognized institution with at least six (6) years post-doctoral experience in teaching/research in a University, have several scholarly publications in reputable national and international academic journals, administrative experience and demonstrate ability to provide academic leadership.

LECTURER I (AUSASS 4)

To be eligible for appointment to the position, candidate must have PhD in relevant area from recognized institution with at least Three (3) years post-doctoral experience in teaching/research in a University, and must have reasonable scholarly publications in reputable academic journals.

LECTURER II (AUSASS 3)

To be eligible for appointment to the position, candidate must have PhD or Masters in relevant area from recognized institution with evidence of teaching and research potential. Scholarly publications will enhance the prospect of the candidate.

ASSISTANT LECTURER (AUSASS 2)

To be eligible for the position, candidate must have a Master's degree from a recognized institution with evidence of teaching and research

NB: Applicants in the Departments of Medical Laboratory Science, Nursing Science, Community Health and Environmental Health Science must be registered members of (MLSCN, NSMCN, CHRBN and EHRBN)
