Deda Hospital is seeking a skilled and reliable Anaesthetic Technician to support the safe and effective delivery of anesthesia services during surgical and medical procedures. The successful candidate will assist anesthetists, prepare equipment, and ensure optimal functioning of anesthesia systems in line with hospital standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up anesthesia equipment, drugs, and monitoring devices prior to procedures.
• Assist anesthetists during induction, maintenance, and recovery phases of anesthesia.
• Monitor and record patients’ vital signs during procedures under supervision.
• Ensure anesthesia machines and related equipment are clean, functional, and properly maintained.
• Check, restock, and manage anesthesia supplies and consumables.
• Assist with patient preparation and positioning for procedures.
• Support post-anesthesia care and safe transfer of patients to recovery units.
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and equipment usage.
• Ensure strict compliance with infection control and patient safety protocols.
• Participate in emergency response and resuscitation support when required.

Requirements

• Diploma or certification in Anaesthetic Technology or a related field.
• Sound knowledge of anesthesia equipment and perioperative procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Experience

• Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in a theatre or surgical setting.
• Proven experience working with anesthesia equipment and clinical teams.
