Deda Hospital is seeking a skilled and experienced Cardiologist to join our clinical team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive cardiovascular care through accurate diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients with heart and circulatory system conditions, while contributing to high-quality, patient-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough clinical evaluations including medical history, physical examinations, and cardiovascular risk assessments.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of cardiac conditions such as hypertension, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, heart failure, and valvular heart disease.
• Interpret cardiovascular investigations including ECG, echocardiography, stress testing, Holter monitoring, and other relevant diagnostic results.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans including medication management, lifestyle modification, and follow-up care.
• Provide pre- and post-procedure assessment and care for patients undergoing cardiac interventions or surgery where applicable.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, dietitians, physiotherapists, and other specialists to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Participate in ward rounds, multidisciplinary case reviews, and clinical meetings.
• Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, lifestyle changes, medication adherence, and long-term cardiac health.
• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in line with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuous medical education activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
• Fellowship or postgraduate qualification in Cardiology.
• Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) with a valid practicing license.
• Strong commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, and high standards of clinical care.

Experience

Minimum of 3–5 years post-qualification experience as a practicing Cardiologist, with demonstrated experience in managing a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.
