Job Description

  • Provides Overall strategic and technical leadership in the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the project in selected states.
  • Serve as the principal point of contact between the Donor and ARFH on procedural and substantive matters related to the project.
  • Lead the development of annual work plans and budgets for project implementation.
  • Oversee the advocacy and collaboration with primary stakeholders and gatekeepers to provide an enabling environment for the implementation of program activities at the State and National level.
  • Review and approve submitted program budgets to guide program implementation at the national and state level
  • Manage the relationship between ARFH and Sub- Recipient including the Sub-Contractor on the project.
  • Represent ARFH at national high-level meetings with the Government of Nigeria (GoN), donors, and partners
  • Submit narrative and financial reports to the donor and other relevant stakeholders when due.

Specific Responsibilities

  • We seek applications from qualified persons for the following position in an anticipated US CDC funded Immunization project “Strengthening immunization program implementation in sub-national consequential geographies in Nigeria (SIPIS-Nigeria)”.
  • The candidate will be based in Abuja with oversight functions in selected states and report to the Director of Programs.

Qualifications

  • MBBS, B.Sc. Degree in any Medical or Social Sciences
  • Master's Degree in a relevant field such as Public Health, Development Studies, Social Work, or other health-related field.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior program management position.
  • Demonstrated experience in routine immunization
  • Proven record of accomplishment of leadership, supportive supervision, mentoring, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to develop and track project work plans and budgets effectively.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English Language.
  • Great Interpersonal Communication Skills.
  • Excellent computer skills in MS Office suite and working knowledge of M & E software
