Job Title: Dental Nurse

Location: Lagos

Description

• The Dental Nurse provides chairside support to dentists, hygienists, and therapists, ensuring high standards of patient care, infection control, and practice efficiency.
• The role involves assisting with clinical procedures, maintaining equipment and records, and supporting patients throughout their dental care journey.

Responsibilities

Patient Care:

• Welcome and prepare patients for treatment, ensuring comfort and reassurance.
• Provide clear pre- and post-operative instructions under the dentist’s guidance.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards of patient care.

Administrative Duties:

• Accurately record patient information and treatment notes.
• Handle patient records in line with data protection regulations.
• Assist with stock control and ordering of dental materials.

Compliance & Safety:

• Adhere to health, safety, and infection control guidelines.
• Assist with equipment testing, maintenance, and sterilization.
• Participate in audits, staff training, and continuous professional development (CPD).

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma/Certificate in Dental Nursing (or equivalent).
• Registration with [Dental Regulatory Body e.g., GDC, MDCN, etc.].
• Knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and cross-infection protocols.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and reassuring under pressure.
• Organized, reliable, and a good team player.
