Digital Capacity Development Training Registration and Accreditation of Environmental Health Emergency Response Volunteers

The Environmental Health Officers Registration Council of Nigeria EHORECON is an Agency under the Supervision of the Federal Ministry of Environment, established by Act No II of 2002 to Regulate the practice of Environmental Health in Nigeria  

The Council as enshrined in the Act is to Regulate and Ensure Compliance of Minimum Standards through Continuing Mandatory Professional Capacity Development Programmes, Effective Monitoring and Evaluating the Activities of all Categories of Environmental Health professions in Nigeria, namely:

Technologist  

Health Assistants  

COMPONENT (B)  

Service Providers (Private Sector)  

Waste Collectors  

Cleaning Services  

Public Health Pest Control

Sewage Management  

Artisans  

Notice is hereby given for all interested persons in the Public and Environmental Health Industry on account of the Covid- 19 pandemic to ensure they are enrolled into the registration/ accreditation and continuing Training portal with a view to Sustain and consolidate efforts of Govem ment and the Private Sector in fighting the global pandemic.

The Digital Training Programme is free, Registration is also free, successful participants will be certified and a special portal: www.verifyvolunteers.gov.ng will be hosted, supported by a 4 Digit Short Code (NCC Lisenced) Call Contact Data Center (#1203 Calls) (#1204 Sms, Photo, Video) for subsequent verification and authentication of Emergency Response Volunteers.  

The Training Portal for Registration is also free is www.ehervtrg.gov.ng Applicants are to log in with the following details: (i) Name (ii) Qualification (iii) Registration Number (iv) Licence No (v) National Identification (vi) State of Origin (vii) Local Government Area (viii) Place of Work (ix) Designation (x) Address (xi) E-Mail/ Phone No (xii) Passport Photograph (Most Recent).  

Environmental Health Practitioners whose names are not on the database of Certified/ Accredited Volunteers to be hosted after the Training, will not be allowed to engage in services on Environmental & Public Health to the Public . All participants are encourage to please key into the programme. The database among others will give access to Donor Agencies, International NGO's, Government and the Private Sector to authenticate and verify who to deal with and accord necessary remuneration packages.
