Residents from host communities of Eyean in Uhunmwonde Council of Edo State have commended the Federal Government for siting a tertiary health institution,  National Orthopaedic Hospital Benin in their domain.

Elders of the Eyean community, led by the Secretary to the Enogie of Eyean, Osaro Iseleremon expressed appreciation to the federal government, saying the project is a welcome development.

Osaro, who received a team of the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Benin, accompanied by Executive Secretary, Edo State Primary Health Care Development Agency,  Dr. Omosigho Izedonmwen, to the palace of Enogie of Eyean, Dr. Osazuwa Aiwerioghene Iduriase, pledged the support of the community in ensuring a conducive environment for the  hospital’s take off.

He said: “Receiving the team, led by Prof. Ogbemudia, is one of the good things that has ever happened to Eyean community.”

The hospital is a developmental project coming to the community, which the young and old appreciate and are happy about.”
