The broadened scope of activities under its Global Fund (GF) TB-HIV Grant has created the need for additional personnel in the bid to deploy critical mass in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Position Details. 

Position: Assistant Technical Officer (Monitoring & Evaluation) 

Number of Persons: 2 

Position Location: South- South Zone – Edo (1), South East – Ebonyi (1)

Position Summary: 

Provide support to ensure that state monitoring and evaluation activities are appropriate and meet the donor and project’s M&E needs, undertake basic data validation checks and routine quarterly DQA, enter program data into designated data management software for subsequent analysis; and maintain hardcopy data records on file for audit trail as appropriate. 

Duties and responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities and ensure that strategies are implemented according to plan 
  • Assist the Zone M&E Officer to achieve project objectives. 
  • Work with other project staff and stakeholders in the state to ensure that monitoring and evaluation activities are carried out appropriately to meet the donor and project’s M&E needs. 
  • Make presentations to stakeholders at both technical and non-technical sessions on program achievements and deliverables. 
  • Provide continuous technical assistance on data management to project management team. 
  • Assist to ensure regular maintenance of database/information system. 
  • Conduct routine monitoring visits to project sites, including the conduct of data verification and validation and data quality assessments (DQAs). 
  • Prepare the state quarterly project reports 
  • Any other duty that may be assigned.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of HND (Medical Records) or Bachelor Degree.
  • 1 year’ experience Local or International NGOs; preferably in Care and treatment Experience with use, deployment of EMR/LAMIS & DHIS management will be an added advantage
  • Strong data management and analysis skills
  • Hands on experience in the use of computer (Word processing, Excel, and database programs).
  • Knowledge of and experience in spreadsheet and database management work.
  • Good communication skills including proficiency in both written and spoken English
