I am directed to acknowledge the receipt of your letter dated 27th April, 2020 on the above subject and to draw your attention to paragraphs 2 and 3 of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Federal Government and the Health Professional Associations and Unions on COVID-19 Special incentives for health workers, copy attached. 

In this regard, I am to inform you that all frontline health care provides, which also includes the Medical Laboratory Scientists, have been provided insurance cover for the COVID-19 and post COVID-19 period for next one year. The sums assured for frontline health workers are as follows:

1. Officers on SGL 01 – 07 – N5M
2. Officers on SGL 08 14 – N15M
3. Officers on SGL 15 – 17 – 20M
