SD - Pact is into Veterinary and Pet Food Services. We help in promoting animal's health, as well as helping in reducing losses caused by Animal Disease. By eliminating the pathogens that causes diseases in animals, one can prevent subsequent emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases in humans, and at the same time ensure an adequate supply of good quality, safe food for all.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Food Technologist

Locations: Kaduna, Katsina, Lagos and Osun

Job Description

Food Technologists are responsible for the safe and efficient development, modification and manufacture of food products and processes. Food technologists tend to work with a company in order to produce new flavors, foods, and products that will be popular with consumers.

Responsibilities

• Generating new product ideas.
• Monitoring the use of additives.
• Controlling production hygiene and quality control standards.
• Ensuring that stringent food safety standards are met.
• Identifying and choosing products from suppliers.
• Evaluating and inspecting suppliers.
• Testing and examining samples.
• Writing reports.
• Liaising with marketing staff.

Requirements

• A Graduate Degree in Food Science / Technology, Food / Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Nutrition, Microbiology or Chemistry
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Good team working abilities
• Confidence
• The ability to work independently
• Meticulous attention to detail, especially with regard to food hygiene and safety
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
