The Anthony Village NGChuks Lions Club in District 404A3 Nigeria (Region 4) has provided subsidised comprehensive medical care to residents of Lagos’ Anthony Village covering all forms of treatment.
Speaking during the medical outreach, the club’s Chartered President, James Uwuseba, emphasised the importance of good health and encouraged all individuals to prioritize their well-being.
He noted that if everyone is healthy, they can all contribute to the growth of the society and Nigeria at large. Uwuseba observed that the club gives back to society and the needy, adding that the medical outreach is a way to touch more lives in the community.
He urged Nigerians to always go for medical checkups and maintain a healthy balance.” They need to do regular screening and check their blood pressure and diabetes because if they don’t know whether these ailments exist in the body, it becomes a problem. However, when they know this ailment is in them, they should take their drugs regularly,” he advised.
Felicia Obillor, a candidate for the second vice district governor, disclosed that the club is collaborating with Gbagada General Hospital. She said patients are sometimes referred to the hospital if the club’s medical team can’t handle the situation.
The President, of Anthony Village NGChuks Lions Club, Ngozi Pascal Okoye, urged Nigerians to always make themselves available for medical opportunities. The beneficiaries thanked the club for their kind gesture and bemoaned how they have always wanted to check their blood pressure, sugar level and others.
