Job Title: General Surgeon

Locations: Lagos & Ogun

 

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled, ethical, and experienced General Surgeon to join our growing surgical team.  

This role offers a unique opportunity to provide advanced surgical care within a multidisciplinary hospital committed to excellence, compassion, and holistic healing.

The ideal candidate will be dedicated to delivering safe and effective surgical care, mentoring junior clinicians, and contributing to the continuous improvement of surgical services.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Perform elective and emergency general surgical procedures.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with other physicians and departments to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
• Conduct surgical outpatient clinics and follow-up consultations.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of clinical encounters.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, surgical audits, and morbidity & mortality reviews.
• Mentor resident doctors, medical officers, and surgical nurses.
• Comply with all hospital protocols, safety procedures, and ethical standards.

 

Qualifications & Experience

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Fellowship of the West African College of Surgeons (FWACS) or National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (FMCS) in General Surgery.
• Valid practising license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
• Demonstrated proficiency in a wide range of surgical procedures.
• Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• A team player with a strong work ethic and compassion for patients.
