About the Role

The Head of Medical Operations will provide strategic and operational leadership for the medical operations function at Oceanic Health Management Limited, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective, and member-centered healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for medical operations.
• Oversee the delivery and quality of medical services to members.
• Lead medical utilization management and clinical oversight activities.
• Establish and monitor clinical and operational standards.
• Work closely with provider networks to improve quality and service delivery.
• Review and monitor clinical trends, utilization patterns, and medical costs.
• Provide clinical guidance on complex medical cases and operational issues.
• Collaborate with executive management and other departments on medical strategy.
• Drive continuous improvement in clinical quality and member outcomes.
• Ensure medical operations comply with applicable regulatory, professional, and organizational standards.
• Lead, coach, and develop the medical operations team.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be a Medical Doctor with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Valid registration and license to practice in Nigeria.
• Relevant post-qualification experience in healthcare management, HMO operations, or a related field.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a healthcare environment.

Required Competencies:

• Strong clinical and healthcare-management expertise.
• Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
• Understanding of managed healthcare and health insurance operations.
• Strong analytical and strategic-thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
