Job Title: Head Nurse
Location: Lekki-Ajah, Lagos

Role Description
- We are looking for a motivated leader wo can serve in the role of a Head Nurse with proven rehabilitative experience.
- The Head Nurse is a senior nursing professional responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the efficient operation of the Nursing department.
- The Head Nurse plays a crucial role in maintaining high-quality patient care, managing resources, and promoting a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
Leadership and management:
- Provide leadership to the nursing team, including Matron, Charge Nurses, Registered Nurses (RNs), and Nursing Assistants.
- Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals (physicians, administrators, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists etc.) to ensure seamless patient care.
Staff supervision:
- Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate nursing staff.
- Assign duties and responsibilities to nurses based on their skills and qualifications.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and address any performance issues.
Patient care:
- Monitor patient care activities to ensure adherence to standards and protocols.
- Assist with complex patient cases and provide guidance to nursing staff.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort.
Resource Management:
- Manage staffing levels, schedules, and shift assignments.
- Allocate resources efficiently (e.g., supplies, equipment, medications).
- Monitor budgetary constraints and optimize resource utilization.
Quality Improvement:
- Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Participate in audits, reviews, and accreditation processes.
- Address any deficiencies promptly.
Communication and collaboration:
- Foster effective communication within the nursing team and with other departments.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Act as a liaison between nursing staff and hospital administration.
Professional Development:
- Stay updated on nursing best practices, regulations, and advancements.
- Encourage ongoing education and professional growth among staff.
- Lead by example and maintain a positive work environment.
Qualifications
- At least a Post Graduate Degree in Nursing or other related courses.
- A valid Nursing License (RN or equivalent).
- At least 7 years of Nursing Clinical Experience and at least 3 years in a supervisory role
- Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
