We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head of Provider Services (Medical Doctor)

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports To: Chief Medical Director

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Provider Services team across the Northern Region to establish and maintain effective relationships with healthcare providers.
• Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and credentialing of healthcare providers in the region.
• Ensure provider compliance with service agreements, regulatory standards, and IHMS policies.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and audits of provider facilities to ensure adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Address escalated provider issues and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with Claims, Customer Service, and other internal teams to streamline operations and enhance provider satisfaction.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality of care and optimize service delivery across the Northern Region.
• Stay informed about healthcare industry trends, policies, and regulatory changes to ensure continuous improvement.
• Provide training and support to healthcare providers on IHMS policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years post-NYSC experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or administrative role.
• Experience working with an HMO or in healthcare management is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of provider network management, healthcare policies, and regulatory frameworks.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office and healthcare management software.
• Familiarity with the healthcare landscape in the Northern Region is an added advantage.
