Job Title: Internal Medicine Consultant

Location: Redeemers Health Village, Redemption Camp, Ogun

Position Summary

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Internal Medicine Consultant to join our medical team at Redeemers Health Village. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialized medical care and treatment to patients with a focus on internal medicine specialties such as cardiology, nephrology, gastroenterology, and other related fields.
  • The role requires expertise in diagnosing, treating, and managing complex medical conditions, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to the continuous improvement of clinical services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat patients with a wide range of medical conditions within the internal medicine specialty areas, including but not limited to cardiology, nephrology, gastroenterology, pulmonology, and endocrinology.
  • Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations, including patient history assessments, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, medical history, and evidence-based guidelines.
  • Perform invasive and non-invasive medical procedures as required within the scope of internal medicine practice, such as cardiac catheterization, echocardiography, renal biopsy, and others.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including specialists, nurses, and support staff, to ensure coordinated and effective patient care delivery.
  • Provide medical consultation and advice to colleagues, residents, and medical students as part of academic and clinical teaching activities.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and clinical audits to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery.
  • Stay updated on advancements in internal medicine practice, guidelines, and treatment modalities through continuous medical education and professional development activities.

Qualifications

  • Medical Degree from a recognized institution
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine or a related speciality.
  • Valid medical license to practice in Nigeria.
  • Fellowship training or equivalent certification in cardiology, nephrology, or other internal medicine subspecialties.
  • Proven track record of excellence in patient care, clinical expertise, and professional competence
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
