We provide Pediatric services, Pediatric Surgery, Obstetrics, and General Gynaecology – comprehensive antenatal and postnatal care, management of high-risk pregnancies, primary and secondary treatment of infertility, management of uterine fibroids, urogynaecology, cancer screening, well-woman checks, and breast care. We also offer endoscopic procedures like colposcopy, diagnostic hysteroscopy, polyps, hysteroscopic treatment of fibroids, intrauterine adhesions, laparoscopic treatment of fibroids, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, adhesions, ectopic pregnancies, laparoscopic tubal amongst others.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Lead Nurse

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Description

  • Provide strong leadership to the nursing staff and oversee their daily activities.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of nursing personnel.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the nursing department.
  • Represent the nursing department in weekly meetings and other clinicians, monthly reports, clinical governance meetings, etc as may be required.
  • Prepares monthly reports that will assist management in making strategic decisions.
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager during the daily Meeting with the Billing department to ensure services offered to patients are adequately captured and billed accordingly.
  • Coordinate nursing ROTA to ensure adequate coverage.
  • To join HR in participating in the recruitment and orientation of new nursing staff as needed.
  • To perform Appraisals for Nursing Officer
  • Responsible for Nursing officer leave and another approval request.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care in compliance with established SOP.
  • Monitor patient outcomes and assess the effectiveness of nursing care.
  • Collaborate with other Clinicians to optimize patient care plans including daily ward checkings.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes.
  • Works with the quality assurance team to ensure the process is followed judiciously.
  • Ensure that antenatal classes are done to the required standards.
  • Facilitate ongoing education and training for nursing staff to keep them up-to-date with the latest medical practices.
  • Maintain open communication with other departments and ensure timely escalation of issues/ matters arising to management.

Requirements

  • Applicant must be a registered nurse, or hold a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Must have an active valid license
  • 3+ years relevant work experience.
