MHWUN: Outcome of Interactive Session with House of Representative Committee o Insurance and Actuarial Matters

The House Committee on Insurance an Actuarial matters invited the Leadership of JOHESU/AHPA and NMA to an interactive session today Wednesday, 24th June, 2020, on the issue of life insurance to workers especially as the Federal Government has purportedly released the sum of N9billion for the payment of the premium.

At the end of the interactive session, we noted that since 2011, Government has bee releasing huge  sums of money for insurance benefits of workers without names of beneficiaries.

That for the House committee to get to root of the matter, all branches are to supply the following data to the committee to enable her carry out her assignment to a logical conclusion with a view to next of kin of deceased members getting the benefit of their lost loved ones. In view of the foregoing, you are to send JOHESU/AHPA nominal roll of members in your respective Hospitals/Facilities and the names should be according to respective departments.

Furthermore, name of all deceased JOHESU/AHPA members who died between 2014 to date should be forwarded with the following details:-

  1. Name
  2. Age
  3. Qualification/Profession
  4. Facility – Place of work
  5. Date of 1st Employment
  6. Grade Level/Rank
  7. Date of Death
  8. Cause of Death
  9. Rank at Date of Death
  10. Copy of Death Certificate to be attached/Letter of Administration
  11. Name of Next of Kin
  12. Contact Address of Next of Kin
  13. Contact Phone No of Next of Kin

This information is to be collated and sent to JOHESU Headquarters through [email protected] on or before Friday, 3rd July, 2020, Please.
