Qualification and Requirements

Senior Lecturer

1. Candidates must possess

* A good honours degree with at least Second Class Lower Division

* A masters degree plus a PhD degree in Nursing from a recognized university

* At least two years experience as Lecturer I in a recognized university

* Reasonable experience in teaching and research

* Evidence of at least nine publications in reputable national and foreign journals

* Evidence of participation in academic activities and administration expected of a Senior Lecturer

 

Lecturer I

1. Candidates must possess

* A good honours degree with at least Second Class Lower Division

* A masters degree plus a PhD degree in Nursing from a recognized university

* Or a masters degree in Nursing and at least two years experience as Lecturer II in a recognized university

* Reasonable experience in teaching and research

* Evidence of at least four publications in reputable journals

* Evidence of participation in academic activities and administration expected of a Lecturer I

 

Conditions of Service

• Conditions of service are similar to those obtainable in comparable institutions of higher learning.
