Medical Director Vacancy at Shawsand Medical Centre

Hospital:

Shawsand Medical Centre is a world class medical facility located in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, equipped with modern medical equipment and electronic medical records to aid in treating patients and performing various surgical procedures. Our professional staff are highly trained and dedicated towards their work and welfare of patients.

We are looking for highly competent candidates with extensive experience in both clinical and business management of our hospital. The medical director will be responsible for day to day management of all aspects of the hospital and reporting to the Board of Directors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Medical Director:

• Balancing the duties of a physician with that of an administrator.
• Ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of medical care.
• Being responsible for the performance of physicians under your supervision.
• Ensuring that all healthcare regulations and safety standards are met.
• Finding ways to improve clinical services and revenue generation.
• Reporting to the Board of Directors.
• Recruiting and mentoring physicians.
• Developing and managing a hospital budget.

Required Qualifications for Medical Director:

• Fully licensed with MDCN as Consultant in your field of specialization.
• Master of health administration or Master of business administration (MBA) will be an advantage.
• 6+ years of clinical and administrative experience with sound clinical risk management skills.
• Good leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
