Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician

Location: Lagos

Description

  • We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team.
  • The successful candidate will perform laboratory tests, analyze samples, and maintain equipment to support accurate diagnoses and patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct laboratory tests and procedures according to standard protocols.
  • Collect, process, and analyze biological samples (blood, urine, tissue, etc.).
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, instruments, and machinery.
  • Record and report test results accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure equipment functionality.
  • Collaborate with laboratory personnel and healthcare professionals.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, regulations, and standards.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.
  • Relevant experience in a laboratory setting (clinical or research).
  • Certification (e.g., MLT, CLT) preferred.

Other Requirements:

  • Compliance with laboratory safety protocols.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment/materials.
  • Flexibility for shift work (if applicable).
  • Continuous learning and professional development.

Certifications/ Licenses:

  • MLT (Medical Laboratory Technician) certification.
  • State-specific licenses (if required).

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS).
