Job Title: Medical Officer (Doctor)

Location: Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive medical examinations, assessments, and evaluations of patients to diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and medical conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management, therapeutic interventions, and lifestyle modifications, based on patient's medical histories, symptoms, and diagnostic test results.
  • Perform medical procedures and interventions, such as suturing wounds, setting fractures, and administering injections, following established medical protocols and guidelines.
  • Monitor and oversee the ongoing care and progress of patients, adjusting treatment plans as needed and providing ongoing medical management and support.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including nurses, specialists, therapists, and support staff, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment options, preventive care measures, and healthy lifestyle practices, promoting patient empowerment and self-care.
  • Document patient encounters, medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and promptly, using electronic medical records (EMR) or other documentation systems.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • 2 - 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Completion of residency training program in a specialty area, such as internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, surgery, or psychiatry.
  • Board certification or eligibility in a recognized medical specialty, as required by state licensing boards and healthcare institutions.
  • Valid medical license to practice medicine in the state or jurisdiction where employed, with no history of disciplinary actions or malpractice claims.
  • Strong clinical skills and diagnostic acumen, with the ability to interpret medical tests, imaging studies, and laboratory results accurately.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients, families, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.

Salary

N280,000 - N300,000 Monthly.
