Job Title: Medical Officer (Oncology)

Location: Benin, Edo

Reporting To: Centre Manager / Head of Operations

 

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Officer (Oncology) with a strong focus on quality assurance, clinical protocol development, and multidisciplinary collaboration. The role involves supporting oncology services to ensure optimal patient outcomes through evidence-based care, clinical audits, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Contouring target volumes and organs for radiotherapy treatment.
• Ensure accurate CT simulations for treatment planning.
• Conduct follow-up consultations for radiotherapy patients.
• Assist Clinical Oncologists in patient treatment and procedures.
• Review diagnostic reports and support clinical management plans.
• Counsel patients on treatment plans, side effects, lifestyle, and diet.
• Participate in tumor boards, clinical audits, and multidisciplinary meetings.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and infection control standards.
• Contribute to protocol development, training, research, and educational activities.
• Collaborate with operations and other teams to enhance patient experience.

Eligibility & Qualifications

• MD or DO from a recognized medical institution with 3–5 years of experience in oncology.
• Strong understanding of oncology protocols and quality standards.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
