Job Title: Medical Officer (Post NYSC)
Location: Onitsha, Anambra
The Role
- We are seeking a sharp, proactive Post NYSC Medical Officer to manage outpatients, oversee wards, handle emergencies, and assist in the operating theatre.
- You will be the clinical backbone of the hospital during your shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct general outpatient consultations and daily inpatient ward rounds.
- Stabilize and manage acute medical, paediatric, and OB/GYN emergencies.
- Perform minor procedures (suturing, I and D) and first assist in major surgeries.
- Handle EMR documentation and HMO pre authorizations accurately.
- Escalate complex cases to consultants efficiently.
Requirements
- MBBS with full MDCN registration and current practicing license.
- NYSC Discharge Certificate or Exemption Letter.
- Competence in emergency stabilization and basic surgical skills.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanour under pressure.
- BLS/ACLS certification is an advantage.
