Job Summary

  • Aniso Specialist Medical Centre is seeking a competent, dedicated and patient-focused Medical Officer to join our clinical team on a permanent, full-time basis.
  • We are looking for a licensed medical doctor who is committed to quality patient care, professional conduct and effective teamwork, and who is interested in building a stable, long-term career within a structured healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting patient consultations, clinical examinations and assessments.
  • Making appropriate diagnoses and developing suitable treatment plans.
  • Providing medical treatment, follow-up care and emergency management as required.
  • Requesting and interpreting relevant laboratory and diagnostic investigations.
  • Monitoring patients' progress and referring or escalating cases when necessary.
  • Maintaining accurate, complete and confidential patient records.
  • Communicating effectively with patients, relatives and other healthcare professionals.
  • Working collaboratively with nurses, specialists and other members of the clinical team.
  • Adhering to clinical guidelines, hospital policies, infection-control standards and patient-safety protocols.
  • Participating in clinical audits, quality improvement and continuing professional development activities.

Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
  • Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
  • Valid and up-to-date MDCN practising licence.
  • At least 1 year post-NYSC clinical experience is preferred.
  • Good clinical reasoning, decision-making and patient management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Professionalism, reliability, accountability and respect for hospital structure.
  • Must reside in Benin City.
