Job Title: Medical Officer

Location: Ondo
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
Patient Care:

  • Conduct medical examinations and diagnose patients' conditions.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications.
  • Perform surgeries and other medical procedures.

Diagnosis and Assessment:

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab results and imaging studies.
  • Assess patients' medical histories and perform physical examinations.
  • Identify and manage chronic conditions, such as diabetes and hypertension.

Treatment and Prevention

  • Prescribe and administer medications, vaccines, and other treatments.
  • Provide preventive care, including health screenings and vaccinations.
  • Educate patients on healthy lifestyles, disease prevention, and management.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare services as needed.

Medical Record-Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
  • Document patients' medical histories, diagnoses, and treatment plans.

Continuing Education:

  • Stay current with medical research, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development.

Ethical and Professional Standards

  • Adhere to medical ethics, laws, and regulations.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.
