Job Title: Medical Officer

Job Description
- We are looking for a proactive, compassionate, and clinically sound Medical Officer to join our medical team.
- The ideal candidate will provide high-quality medical care, support clinical decision-making, manage patients across various units, and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
- This role requires strong clinical judgment, good communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients across outpatient and inpatient units.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, order investigations, and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Participate actively in ward rounds, emergency care, and clinical reviews.
- Manage medical emergencies promptly and efficiently.
- Collaborate with consultants, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare staff to deliver coordinated care.
- Document patient history, treatment plans, progress notes, and referrals accurately.
- Counsel patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, lifestyle changes, and preventive care.
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, hospital policies, and quality standards.
- Assist in minor surgical procedures and provide pre- and post-operative care.
- Participate in clinical audits, case reviews, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Support training and supervision of junior medical staff and interns (where applicable).
- Adhere strictly to infection prevention and control practices.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by the Medical Director.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS/MBChB) from a recognized institution.
- Must have a valid practicing license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Minimum of 2 – 5 years post-NYSC clinical experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Strong clinical skills across general medicine, emergency care, and routine procedures.
- Excellent diagnostic judgment and ability to manage a wide range of medical cases.
- Good communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies confidently.
- Strong commitment to patient safety, ethics, and professional conduct.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) is an added advantage.

Salary
N300,000 - N350,000 monthly.
