Lagos Executive Cardiovascular Clinic is a multidisciplinary cardiovascular and cardiac rehabilitation 24/7 facility focused on the treatment and management of cardiovascular diseases and trigger diseases using both invasive and non-invasive procedures, as well as preventive cardiology.

Job Title: Medical Officer

Job Summary

Chiron Surgical and ICU Center is looking for a motivated and compassionate Medical Officer to join our team following the completion of the NYSC program.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality medical care, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and contribute to patient management in our surgical and critical care settings.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care:

  • Conduct comprehensive medical assessments and develop treatment plans for patients.
  • Provide direct patient care, including diagnosis and management of medical conditions.

Collaboration:

  • Work alongside surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary team discussions to optimize treatment strategies.

Emergency Response:

  • Respond effectively to medical emergencies and provide immediate care as required.
  • Follow established protocols during critical situations to ensure patient safety.

Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and legal requirements regarding documentation.

Patient Education:

  • Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.
  • Promote health awareness and wellness initiatives within the community.

Quality Improvement:

  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
  • Adhere to clinical guidelines and contribute to the development of best practices.

Qualifications

  • Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
  • Valid medical license to practice in Nigeria.
  • Completion of the NYSC program.
  • Strong clinical skills with the ability to make informed medical decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
