Job Summary
Chiron Surgical and ICU Center is looking for a motivated and compassionate Medical Officer to join our team following the completion of the NYSC program.
The successful candidate will provide high-quality medical care, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and contribute to patient management in our surgical and critical care settings.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care:
- Conduct comprehensive medical assessments and develop treatment plans for patients.
- Provide direct patient care, including diagnosis and management of medical conditions.
Collaboration:
- Work alongside surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Engage in multidisciplinary team discussions to optimize treatment strategies.
Emergency Response:
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies and provide immediate care as required.
- Follow established protocols during critical situations to ensure patient safety.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and legal requirements regarding documentation.
Patient Education:
- Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Promote health awareness and wellness initiatives within the community.
Quality Improvement:
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
- Adhere to clinical guidelines and contribute to the development of best practices.
Qualifications
- Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Valid medical license to practice in Nigeria.
- Completion of the NYSC program.
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to make informed medical decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
