Qualification

Professor (CONMESS 7)

Applicants must be holders of M.B.B.S Degree from recognized Universities with Ph.D, Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or its equivalent in the relevant specialty/subspecialty with at least twelve (12) years teaching, research and administrative experience in a tertiary institution; Must have at least 18 publications in peer review reputable journals; All should be in circulation.

 

Associate Professor (CONMESS 6)

Applicants must be holders of M.B.B.S Degree from recognized Universities with Ph.D, Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or its equivalent in the relevant specialty/subspecialty with at least nine (9) years of teaching, research and administrative experience in a tertiary institution; Must have at least 12 publications in peer review reputable journals; All should be in circulation.

 

Senior Lecturer (CONMESS 5)

Applicants must be holders of M.B.B.S Degree from recognized Universities with Ph.D, Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or its equivalent in the relevant specialty/subspecialty with at least six (6) years of teaching, research and administrative experience in a tertiary institution; Must have at least 6 publications in peer review reputable journals; All should be in circulation.

 

Lecturer I (CONMESS 4)

Applicants must be holders of M.B.B.S Degree from recognized Universities, Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or its equivalent in the relevant specialty/subspecialty with at least three (3) years of teaching, research and administrative experience in a tertiary institution.

 

Lecturer II (CONMESS 3)

Applicants must be holders of M.B.B.S Degree from recognized Universities, Plus professional registration with Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) and NYSC certificate/exemption certificate.

 

Non-Academic:

Positions

1. Laboratory Technologist (Medical Laboratory)

Requirements: HND, BSc or B Tech in Science Laboratory Technology from a recognized institution and NYSC certificate/Exemption certificate.

 

2. Laboratory Technologist (Science Laboratory)

Requirements: HND, BSc or B Tech in Science Laboratory Technology from a recognized institution and NYSC certificate/Exemption certificate.

 

Note:

1. Appointment to the rank of Professor or Associate Professor subject to external assessment of candidates' publications.

2. A candidate who has never taught in any University before, cannot be appointed directly to the rank of Professor or Associate Professor.

3. Candidates MUST have certificate of full registration with MDCN and current annual practice license.
