Greentech Industry Limited is foremost indigenous value-added technology-driven manufacturer and processor of cassava tubers, corn, and sweet potatoes into pharmaceutical and food-grade industrial starch. Our current annual installed production line processing capacity is 200,000 metric tons of raw cassava root tubers with the plan to activate a second production line of similar capacity using corn as a feedstock. GTI products are processed to serve both the local and international pharmaceutical and food/beverage native starch markets

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Microbiologist

Location: Agbara, Ogun

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The microbiologist is responsible for carrying out microbiological analysis of the incoming raw materials, intermediate materials, finished products, packaging material, swab test, and Pathogen Environmental Monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for microbial analysis and interpretation of microbial results of the samples analyzed
  • Implement Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) in the laboratory
  • Ensure equipment is clean and calibrated daily; report any malfunctioning equipment.
  • Responsible for collection and proper labeling of samples for microbial analysis and retention
  • Responsible for decontamination, washing, and sterilization of glass wares used for analysis.
  • Responsible for Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) /Cleaning Out of Place (COP) and ensuring proper documentation in the CIP record.
  • Responsible for a swab test, pathogen monitoring test, and cleaning validation test as required.
  • Drive Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Good Hygiene Practices (GHPs), Cleaning and Sanitation of the facility
  • Ensure prompt reporting and proper documentation of the laboratory activities and ensure all processes-related documents are up to date
  • Responsible for functionality of all the hygiene stations and ensures soap and hand sanitizers are available at all posts as required
  • Facilitates Health Safety and Environment program of the company
  • Responsible for back washing of filters in the water treatment plant and treatment of water for processing
  • Responsible for batching system and ensuring batch/date coding for every production batch.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc, B.Tech, (2nd Class) or HND, (Credit) in Food Technology, Microbiology
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience.
  • Not more than 30 years old, must be physically and mentally fit to work.
