Midwestern Oil and Gas Company Limited, an indigenous oil and gas exploration and production company, is inviting applications for its 2025/2026 scholarship award scheme. As the operator of the Umusadege field in OML 56, Midwestern operates in Umusadege, Kwale, Delta State, with its corporate head office in Lekki, Lagos State. 

This scholarship program is designed to support students from host communities and Delta State in their educational pursuits 

Interested and eligible students are encouraged to apply before the application deadline. 

Secondary School Community Award for Host Communities Only 

This scholarship is available for junior secondary school students from Midwestern's host communitieas. 

Requirements 

- Scholarship is open to JSS 1 and JSS 2 students only 

- Admission letter to a secondary school in Nigeria 

- Result of the last year in primary school or JSS 1 result 

- Birth certificate 

- Identification letter signed by the Community Board of Trustees (BOT) 

University Community Award for Host Communities Only 

This scholarship is for undergraduate students from host communities currently enrolled in a recognized university. 

Requirements 

- Scholarship is open to 100 and 200-level students at the time of application 

- Minimum of 5 credits in SSCE or GCE, including Mathematics and English, in one sitting 

- JAMB/UTME and university admission letter from an accredited/approved university in Nigeria 

- Current university ID card 

- Identification letter signed by the Community Board of Trustees (BOT) 

University Merit Award for Delta State Indigenes Only 

This award is open to high-achieving undergraduate students from Delta State who are currently in their second year of study. 

Requirements 

- Scholarship is open to 200-level students who must have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 at the time of application 

- Minimum of 5 credits in SSCE or GCE, including Mathematics and English, in one sitting 

- JAMB/UTME and university admission letter from an accredited/approved university in Nigeria 

- Current university ID card 

- Letter of identification stating your LGA and senatorial zone (North, South, or Central)

All applications must be submitted online through the designated application portal. Applicants will be required to provide their personal details and upload the necessary documents. 

Application Deadline 

The closing date for online applications is April 19, 2025.
