RE: PRESIDENTIAL COMMITTEE ON HEALTH FORM

You will recall that recently the Federal Government announced the setting up and membership of the Presidential Committee on Health Reform and to be chaired by the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo. The President of National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNNM) is a member of that Committee yet to be inaugurated.

Given the enormity of the work of the Committee on the subject matter, and how the Association wants the Nursing Profession to be, I have been directed to request from our members, Academic, Heads of Nursing in both Federal and States, Principals and Provosts of Schools and Colleges of Nursing and Universities in your State to submit memorandum on Health Reform in Nigeria with particular emphasis on Nursing Profession and how it should be in the 21st century and beyond.

The memorandum should be typed double spaced and addressed to the General Secretary, NANNM Headquarters, 13 Makurdi Street, Area 10 Garki Abuja to reach him within 2ldays from the date of this circular.

The State Chairmen and Secretaries are requested to ensure that all those mentioned in this circular are properly informed or sensitized to this singular opportunity given to the Association as member of the presidential committee on Health Reform in Nigeria.
