We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: NICU Nurse

Location: Lagos

 

Job Summary

We are looking for a NICU Nurse to join our team and provide round-the-clock care for premature and ill newborn infants.

NICU Nurse responsibilities include administering care to newborn infants residing in the NICU, running various medical tests and providing support to families as needed.

Ultimately, you will work with newborn infants in critical care, along with supporting and providing information to parents and guardians.

 

Responsibilities

• Assist the NICU physicians in medical procedures and treatments.
• Use and adjust specialized medical equipment.
• Formulate nursing plans and evaluate the effectiveness of treatments.
• Comfort sick newborns and anxious parents and family members.
• Offer support to parents and educate them on the at-home care of their newborn.

 

Requirements and Skills

• Relevant training and/or certifications as a NICU Nurse.
• Proven work experience as a NICU Nurse or similar role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to offer emotional support to parents, guardians, and family members.
• Working knowledge of NICU specialized equipment.
• Expertise in working with a team.
• Exceptional ability to offer comfort to ill newborns.
