CHANGE OF THE POLICY ON THIRD ATTEMPT CANDIDATES FOR PROFESSIONAL EXAMINATIONS OF THE NURSING AND MIDWIFERY COUNCIL OF NIGERIA

The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria as part of its reform in nursing and midwifery education and practice in Nigeria, hereby informs you of a change in the interval for re-sitting Professional Examinations of the Council after second attempt.

Students referred after second attempt shall be allowed to register and participate in the next Professional Examination without any waiting period. Henceforth, Council will continue to count on schools and candidates to appropriately comply with the policy.

The change in policy aroused as a result of refresher Programme which all eliminated candidates after the third attempt are eligible to participate in any of the Council’s approved Centre for refresher Programme.

The new policy takes effect from May, 2021 Professional Examination. Please bring the content of this circular to the attention of all concerned persons.
