You will recall that the Board of Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria at its 48th General Meeting held in 2019 approved the commencement of online application for licence renewal and change of name in August, 2019 in line with global best practice. The process of online application for these services was given wide sensitization and its usage has been accepted by many Nigeria registered Nurses.
Therefore, as part of the efforts of the Council to build a robust database as well as improve its management, the Council is terminating Paper/manual application for licence renewal and change of name by 30th September, 2021.
Please note that paper/manual applications will continue to run concurrently with online applications for licence renewal/change of name on the Council's portal till 30th September, 2021, while acceptance of ONLY application for licence renewal/change of name takes effect from 1st October, 2021.
Applicants are to visit https://licence.nmcn.gov.ng/ to initiate application for licence renewal and change of name.
Kindly bring the content of this circular to the attention of all Nurses and Midwives in your jurisdiction.
While thanking you for your cooperation in promoting excellence in nursing education and practice in Nigeria in line with global best practice, please assurances of my highest regards.
Signed:
