#NMCN: Release of Results of the Professional Examination for Midwives Held in March 2021

I am pleased to inform that result of the Professional Examinations for Midwives held in March, 2021 has been approved by the Board of Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria at its 53rd General Meeting held on Wednesday 23rd April, 2021.

Summary of the result indicates:

a) Post Basic Midwives:

One thousand, two hundred and twenty-two (1,222) candidates were successful in the examination representing 89% pass.

b) i. Basic Midwives:

One thousand, three hundred and fifty – four (1,354) candidates were successful in the examination representing 85% pass.

ii. Basic Midwives (Refresher):

Twenty – three (23) candidates were successful in the examination representing 79% pass.

c) Community Midwives:

One hundred and twenty-seven (127) candidates were successful in the examination representing 74% pass.

Heads of the training institutions are hereby directed to check for the result of their institution(s) on-line as from Thursday 22nd April, 2021.

Successful candidates are hereby directed to visit the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria Portal (portal.nmcn.gov.ng) to apply on-line for Registration and Licensing with immediate effect.

Please note that on-line registration formalities including payment is to be completed within ninety (90) days. Also note that late registration attracts a penalty fee of Thirteen Thousand Naira (N13,000.00) only per applicant after ninety (90) days.

Please note that the next Professional Examination for Midwives is scheduled to hold from Tuesday 7th – Friday 11th September, 2021.

Heads of nursing training institutions are hereby requested to send hard copies of application forms to reach the Council on or before Friday 28th May, 2021. Application forms received after this date will be out rightly rejected.

Please acknowledge receipt of the result and contact the Secretary – General / Registrar immediately for rectification of any error. Council will not entertain any complaint after 30 days of release of result.
