Job Title: NYSC Medical Doctor

Location: Keffi, Nasarawa

Duration: Short-term / Contract-based

 

Role Summary

We are seeking an NYSC Medical Doctor based in Keffi to provide on-site medical support for a short-term engagement involving retreats, camps, and organized group activities.

The Doctor will ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of participants and staff through prompt medical care, health screening, and preventive guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide basic medical care and first response for illnesses, injuries, and emergencies.
• Conduct health checks and screenings for participants where required.
• Manage minor treatments, wound care, and routine medications.
• Monitor participants with known medical conditions and respond appropriately.
• Maintain a basic clinic setup and manage medical supplies.
• Keep simple medical records and incident reports.
• Offer health advice on hydration, rest, hygiene, and stress management.
• Liaise with nearby hospitals for referrals and emergencies.
• Be present during key activities and remain on-call as required.

Requirements

• NYSC Medical Doctor currently serving or recently posted in/around Keffi.
• Basic emergency and first-aid competence.
• Calm, professional, and dependable.
• Willingness to work in a camp/retreat environment.
• Ability to respond quickly in urgent situations.
