Dear Comrades,

STATE-WIDE STRIKE 

Sequel to the resolutions adopted by the State Executive Council (SEC) – in – session during the emergency SEC meeting of Our Great Association on 24th November, 2020 (Tuesday) at the Nurses’ House Asaba and the unwillingness of the Delta State Ministry of Health to head to our Association’s requests as contained in the 14-days ultimatum to the Delta State Government and other correspondences to the office of the Hon. Commissioner for Health on the abuse/violation of the Civil Service Rules and Scheme of Service as relates to the carrier progression of Nurses and Midwives in Delta State, I have the directive to make the following communication to you. 

1. That you are by this letter asked to make final preparation and mobilization of all our members in your unit for the commencement of a state-wide indefinite strike by all nurses and midwives in Delta State.
2. That there shall be no room for any skeletal service by any of our member in your unit throughout the pendency of the Strike. 
3. That the strike will not be called off unit our demands are met. 
4. That all Nurses and Midwives in your unit are by this communication directed to commence the indefinite strike by 12 midnight of 3rd December, 2020
