Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following positions at National Orthopaedic Hospital, Enugu for full-time employment and residency training.

National Orthopaedic Hospital Enugu is a Federal tertiary specialist healthcare institution in Nigeria. Remunerations and conditions of service are as obtainable in other similar federal public tertiary hospitals in Nigeria.

A. Consultants in the Following Areas:

  1. Burns & Plastic Surgery
  2. Anesthesiology
  3. Pathology (Histopathology)
  4. Radiology
  5. Cardiology
  6. Orthopaedic/Trauma Surgery
  7. Neurosurgery
  8. Family Medicine

Requirements:

  • Basic MBBS or MBCH degree
  • Postgraduate training with completion of Part 2 of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (NPMCN) or its equivalent
  • Fellowship of the NPMCN or West African College of Surgeons (WACS)
  • Current practicing license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN)
  • Possession of both fellowships is an advantage

B. Resident Doctors in the Following Specialties:

  1. Orthopaedic Surgery
  2. Burns & Plastic Surgery
  3. Anesthesia
  4. Radiology

Requirements:

  • Basic MBBS or MBCH degree
  • Current practicing license from MDCN
  • Primary fellowship qualification of NPMCN or WACS in the relevant specialty

C. Medical Officers

Requirements:

  • Basic MBBS or MBCH degree
  • Current practicing license from MDCN
  • Evidence of registration for Primary Fellowship exams is an advantage
  • Candidates must commit to commencing residency training by passing the relevant primary examination within 18 months of recruitment

D. Nursing Officers in the Following Areas:

  1. Accident & Emergency Nursing
  2. Orthopaedic Nursing
  3. Burns & Plastic Nursing
  4. Anesthetic Nursing
  5. Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nursing
  6. Perioperative (Theatre) Nursing
  7. Nurse Tutors

Requirements:

  • General Nursing Certificate from an accredited institution by the Nursing & Midwifery Council of Nigeria
  • Post-basic Nursing Certificate in the relevant specialty
  • Current practicing license
