National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) Extension of Second Dose and Continuation of First Dose of Covid-19 Vaccination in Nigeria

The Federal Government of Nigeria has graciously extended the conduct of vaccination for the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine. The second dose vaccination will now close on 5th July 2021. The reopened First dose will also close on 5th July 2021.This means, the nationwide Phase One COVID-19 Vaccination will end on 5th July 2021. 

Hurry now! Visit the nearest vaccination site to receive your second dose if you had your first dose on or before the 5th of May 2021. 

Nigerians who took their first dose of AstraZeneca vaccine outside the country and are now eligible for the second dose can visit any vaccination post in Nigeria and get vaccinated with the second dose. 

Also, those who have relocated from states where they received their first dose of the vaccine in Nigeria can visit a super, super site in any state in the country and get vaccinated once they are due for the second dose. 

You need the second dose for full protection against COVID-19.

Also, all persons aged 18 years and above who are yet to receive their first dose can do so now. Visit the nearest vaccination site to get vaccinated as government has reopened vaccination for the first dose. 

After you have been fully vaccinated, continue to observe COVID-19 prevention protocols. 

COVID-19 vaccination is free, safe, and effective.
