Job Title: Nurse / Female House Parent

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary healthcare to students and staff members.
  • Assess and treat minor injuries and illnesses.
  • Administer medication and manage medical emergencies.
  • Conduct health education programs for students and staff.
  • Promote preventive healthcare measures within the school community
  • Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school administrators to address health concerns.
  • Provide emotional support to students dealing with health-related issues.
  • Foster a supportive and caring environment for female students in the residential facility.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to help students navigate academic and personal challenges.
  • Oversee the daily routines of students in the residential facility.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment.
  • Monitor and supervise students during designated hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Enforce rules and regulations, promoting a positive and respectful atmosphere.
  • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school staff regarding students' well-being and progress.
  • Collaborate with teachers and administrators to address academic and behavioral concerns.
  • Be trained and prepared to respond to emergencies or medical situations.
  • Collaborate with other staff members in emergency situations.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is often preferred.
  • Certification in school nursing is a plus.
  • Experience in pediatric or school nursing is desirable.
  • Strong communication,presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant health laws and regulations.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Empathy and understanding of the developmental needs of students.
  • Ability to enforce rules and boundaries with a fair and consistent approach.
