Job Summary
- The Nurse will provide high-quality patient care within a multi-specialist hospital setting, supporting various medical departments and ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients.
- The role involves direct patient care, health education, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and strict adherence to professional and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans across different specialties.
- Administer medications, injections, and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor, record, and report changes in patients’ conditions to the appropriate healthcare team members.
- Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and surgeries.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, post-care instructions, and healthy lifestyle practices.
- Coordinate referrals to other specialists and departments for comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely patient records in compliance with hospital policies and legal requirements.
- Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and families, fostering trust and comfort.
- Operate and maintain medical equipment used in diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring.
- Manage wound care, catheterization, and other specialized nursing procedure
- Uphold strict infection control and patient safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and provide first-line clinical interventions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree.
- Registered Nurse (RN) certification with a valid practicing license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
- Minimum of 4 years of nursing experience, preferably in a multi-specialist or tertiary care hospital.
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to work across multiple specialties.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure and fast-paced environments.
- Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certifications are an advantage.
Working Conditions
- Shift-based schedules, including weekends and public holidays.
- Physical stamina to handle extended periods of standing and patient handling.
Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 monthly.
