Job Title: Nurse

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Position Overview

As a Nurse at Nobsams Hospital, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care, promoting wellness, and ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare facility.

You will work collaboratively with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and support staff to deliver comprehensive and compassionate nursing services.

 

Responsibilities

  • Patient Care: Provide direct and indirect patient care, including assessing patient needs, developing care plans, administering medications, and monitoring patient conditions.
  • Clinical Procedures: Perform various clinical procedures, such as wound dressing, IV administration, medication management, and assisting with diagnostic tests.
  • Documentation: Accurately and promptly document patient information, including assessments, treatments, and medication administration, in electronic medical records.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures, treatment plans, medications, and self-care techniques.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the healthcare team, including physicians, therapists, and other nurses, to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
  • Safety and Infection Control: Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Emergency Response: Respond effectively to medical emergencies, providing immediate care and alerting the appropriate medical personnel as needed.
  • Quality Improvement: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives by participating in audits, evaluating patient outcomes, and suggesting process improvements.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated with advancements in nursing practice and participate in continuing education programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Compliance: Adhere to legal and ethical standards, including patient confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and professional nursing standards.

 

Qualifications

  • Valid Nursing License and registration
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred)
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting (preferred)
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-centered approach
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records and other healthcare software

 

Remuneration

N50,000 - N60,000 Monthly.
