Job Title: Nursing Assistant

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Description 

  • Our client is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Nursing Assistant to provide essential support to patients and healthcare staff.
  • The Nursing Assistant will assist in delivering basic patient care, ensuring comfort, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Head Nurse and Medical Officers to establish effective systems for delivering patient-centered care with compassion, dignity, and respect, resulting in positive health outcomes
  • Administration of medications to patients according to the Doctor's prescription.
  • Monitoring of labor cases and documentation of post & and delivery operative notes.
  • Setting of Intramuscular and intravenous infusion (when the need arises).
  • Perform wound care and assist physicians during procedures.
  • Ensure the highest standard of evidence-based nursing care is delivered to all patients and their families.
  • Act by the Nursing & Midwifery Council Code Standards of Conduct, performance, and ethics for nurses.
  • Record patient treatment plans, interventions, outcomes, and plan revisions
  • Monitor and document symptoms and changes in patients' conditions promptly and notify the medical officer of any developments swiftly.
  • Ensure Proper Storage of equipment and devices properly after use
  • Accurate documentation of patient's medical information and vital signs.
  • Monitoring and following up with the Housekeeping ensuring the theatre is clean and tidy before and after procedure or surgery.
  • Ability to operate the Patient Monitor effectively by monitoring the following parameters adequately ECG, Body Temperature, and Oxygen saturation.
  • Ensure the wards comply with all health and safety requirements.
  • Develop collaborative and cooperative relationships with other healthcare professionals, and participate in professional and managerial meetings, liaising as appropriate.
  • Any other assignment as it may come from the Head Nurse or higher officer

Requirements

  • She must have a Health Assistant Certificate
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience
  • Must be able to resume immediately
  • Proximity to the Islandis very important

Salary
N70,000 - N80,000 monthly.
