Job Title: Nursing Matron

Location: Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

 

Job Summary

• We are looking for an experienced and disciplined Nursing Matron to lead our nursing team.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining high clinical standards, supervising nursing staff, and ensuring excellent patient care. We need a leader who is organized, firm, and compassionate.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership: Supervise all nurses and midwives to ensure they follow hospital protocols.
• Patient Care: Oversee patient admissions, treatment plans, and ward management.
• Duty Roster: Organize and manage the nursing shift schedules.
• Supplies: Monitor and restock medical supplies and equipment.
• Quality Control: Ensure the hospital environment is kept clean, hygienic, and professional at all times.
• Reporting: Report directly to the Medical Director regarding clinical issues and staff performance.

Requirements

• Qualification: Registered Nurse (RN) and Registered Midwife (RM) certificates. A BSc in Nursing is an added advantage.
• Experience: At least [10+] years of bedside nursing experience, with significant time spent in a senior or supervisory role.
• Skills: Strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to handle emergencies calmly.
• License: Must have a valid, up-to-date license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NM).
