Halcom Management Services (HMS) - Our client, an international standard, multi-speciality, acute hospital located in Port Harcourt, Rivers State is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2024. Facilities and services provided include: emergency care, surgical, medical, internal medicine, family medicine, renal care, gynecology, obstetrics, paediatrics, pathology, physiotherapy radiology and pharmacy. Skilled and professional staff form the foundation of a well-run hospital. The hospital will provide up-to-date facilities and services allowing our medical professionals to work efficiently and effectively.

Job Title: Nursing Unit Manager (SNO)  - General, Casualty, Maternity, Paediatrics, OPD, ICU, NICU

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Department: Nursing

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the operational, clinical and financial management of the allocated nursing unit on a 24-hour basis.

Job Requirements

  • Degree / Diploma in General Nursing
  • Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nurses and Midwife Association of Nigeria
  • Post-graduate Diploma in Nursing Management and/or Nursing Education and advantage.
  • At least 2 years experience in a private hospital setting
  • Minimum 5 years of proven leadership and management experience in the relevant environment (ideally private).  
  • Computer literacy  
  • Understanding of legislation and regulations relating to healthcare and the nursing profession  
  • Understanding of legislation requirements as it relate to private hospitals and nursing  
  • Understanding of resourcing models within broader healthcare industry
